Sony’s current flagship the Xperia Z has
been positively received by consumers in general and is currently keeping its
ground against the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and LG’s Optimus G. And it
appears that Sony is already conceiving the successor of the Xperia Z in the
form of the Xperia ZR.
Based on preliminary reports, the ZR will
reportedly feature a 4.6-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of
720x1280 pixels with a pixel density of 319 pixels per inch. And although it
may not have the Gorilla Glass treatment, it may come with a shatter proof and
scratch-resistant glass panel.
Sony will also be adding its Mobile Bravia
Engine which is also included in the Xperia Z. And just like the Xperia Z, the
ZR will be water and dust proof, will have 2GB of RAM, will run on Android 4.2
Jelly Bean, a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 13.1-megapixel rear camera and the
usual host of connectivity features and sensors.
