After weeks of speculations, rumours and leaks, HTC and
Samsung has finally come out clean as the two companies announced yesterday
their rumoured devices – the HTC One Google Edition and the Samsung Galaxy S4
Mini.
The HTC One Google Edition was introduced yesterday at the
D11 conference in California by no other than Android’s SVP Sundar Pichai. The
Google Edition of the Taiwanese manufacturer’s flagship device follows the
release of Samsung’s Galaxy S4 running on stock Android which was first
introduced in Google I/O two weeks ago.

The device will run on Android 4.2.2 with stock Vanilla user
interface. It will have 32GB of internal storage, will sport an unlocked
bootloader and will receive Android updates directly from Google much like

components with the original HTC One such as its Snapdragon 600 chipset and a
quad-core processor.
Additional reports also suggest that HTC might be planning to release an AOSP ROM for current HTC One owners in case they also want to experience their phones without Sense UI. The HTC One Google edition will be priced at $599 and will initially be available in silver starting June 26.
