Samsung’s Galaxy S5 may already surfing various markets all
over the world but the Korean tech giant still has a few tricks up its sleeves.
For starters, the company is reportedly prepping a number of new handsets
including a premium phone, a sports-oriented unit and a 7-inch tablet.
The first device on Samsung’s upcoming releases would be the
Galaxy S5 Prime. Today, a number of alleged live photos of the handset popped
up online courtesy of phonearena.com.
The leaked images show a metal-bound body as opposed to the
faux-metal plastic strip that surround the body of the original Galaxy S5. The rumoured
handset also seems to have its loudspeaker placed at the bottom of the device.
Moreover, the image confirms earlier rumours that the S5
Prime will have a 5.2-inch display (probably in QHD resolution). The phone is
expected to make its debut at Samsung’s June 12 event in New York City and will
retail for close to $880.
Meanwhile, in Samsung’s homeland, a certain Galaxy W
appeared in a brochure for Korean carrier SK Telekom.
The device is said to have a 7-inch 720p screen, a 1.2GHz
quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 8MP+2MP camera combo and 8GB of
expandable storage. The handset’s specs has caused some speculation that the
Galaxy W will be known as the Galaxy Mega 2 upon release.
Lastly, there’s the Galaxy S5 Active whose design was revealed
through some leaked image of an alleged case for the handset.
The image shows that the S5 Active will likely follow the
same design as its predecessor with four screw caps at the back with rubber
accents at the top and bottom. Specs-wise, the handset is said to have a Qualcomm
Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM and a 16MP+2MP camera setup.
