The battle of the smartwatches is certainly heating up
especially now that Apple’s contender is about to make it entry into the
battlefield. On top of that, Motorola’s Moto 360 is also allegedly making its
premiere around the same time as the iWatch.
And now it seems that LG is joining the frenzy with an
alleged 2nd generation G watch. According to The Korea Times the tech giant is gunning for an IFA 2014 release
in order to beat Apple to the punch. There are also reports saying that the
Korean manufacturer is working with leading watchmakers in order to give the G
Watch 2 a premium feel.
The Korea Times also reported that the next G Watch will be
powered by a Qualcomm processor and is already in the development stages.

LG Mobile's global YouTube channel has just released a teaser video showing a new wearable with a round face dubbed as the LG G Watch R.
From the teaser video it looks like the watch will have several new features including a step counter, a distance counter and a compass. The watch is expected to be unveiled next week shortly after Motorola announces its Moto 360 wearable at this year's IFA in Germany.
