LG G Watch R Unveiled to Challenge the Moto 360

LG has finally released its second generation smartwatch powered by Google’s Android Wear operating system. As previously rumored, the device features a round face which according to LG is wholly utilized by the 1.3-inch display.
In terms of looks alone, the G Watch R is probably the best looking smartwatch in the market and resembles a traditional analog watch in contrast to the squared design of its predecessor. In the technical department, LG has equipped the G Watch R with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip with a 1.2GHz processor and half a gig of RAM.

There’s also 4GB of internal storage, a 410mAh battery and a plethora of sensors including a gyro-sensor, an accelerometer, a compass and a barometer. On top of that, the watch is also water and dust proof thanks to its IP67 certification.

Unfortunately, the watch only comes in black and LG didn’t say if you can swap the bracelets for a different color. The LG G Watch R will be available later this year with pricing to be announced during the device’s local launch.
