We’re just a few days away from the end of the year, but
that fact isn’t stopping Acer from announcing a new phone. The tech giant just
announced the Liquid Jade S, the company’s first 64-bit model and is an update
to the Liquid
Jade we saw at Computex last June.
The handset comes with a 5-inch HD panel protected by a
layer of Gorilla Glass 3 panel, a MediaTek MT6572M chip with a 1.5GHz octa-core
processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The device boots Android
4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and gets its juice from a 2300mAh battery.
There’s a 13MP f1.8 camera at the back and a 2MP
front-facing snapper for selfies. Other notable features of the Liquid Jade S
include Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity. Acer is planning to roll
out the phone by next week for around $230.
