HTC’s official Twitter account has recently confirmed that
the company’s 2013 Windows Phone offering, the HTC
8XT on the Sprint network will be receiving Windows Phone 8.1 before the
end of the year.
The handset which offers average specs compared to these
days’ WP 8.1 smartphones. It comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA display, a Snapdragon
400 chip with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, an 8MP rear camera and a 1.6MP
front-facing snapper.
With Windows Phone 8.1, the handset will be receiving new
features including folder support, backgrounds on the start screen, VPN, action
and notification centers and Microsoft’s personal voice assistant Cortana to
name a few.
