In this age ruled by laptops, tablets and smartphones, it’s
hard to imagine how physical toys that earlier generations enjoyed can make a
comeback. Fortunately, a toy company in Hong Kong has managed to mix the old
with the new by creating a toy that combines tradition with technology.
Infinity Nado is the latest toy craze to hit the
Philippines. For those who are not in the loop (which means most of us), the
toy is actually a digitally advanced top that’s based on an anime of the same
name. The tops are built using five interchangeable layers that lets players manipulate
its center of gravity for precision control.
The Infinity Nado is also a smarter version of your regular
top. It features a sophisticated gameplay that makes use of RFID (Radio
frequency ID) chips that store data of fight stats and other gamer information
including fight history, accumulated score and level of certification.
